Carnatic violin

The violin has an extremely melody and soothing tone. It was later adapted to be used in Carnatic music. It was first introduced in India around the year 1790 by Baluswami Dikshitar, brother of the famous Carnatic composer Muthuswami Dikshitar. Over time, it became an integral part of the Carnatic vocal for its tonal characteristics which closely mimics a human voice. To pursue one career in Carnatic vocals one must be a master of Carnatic violin and to master it one must be trained by a master. The violin when used and then adapted to suit Hindustani music is the Hindustani violin. one of the most popular instruments in the world and is suited to any kind of music. Western Violin:

Western violin is tuned differently than Indian violin. That means that if you play the same positions it sounds differently. It would require a lot of practice to get a mental framework of how an instrument is tuned. Emphasis: The system of Indian classical music gives much more emphasis on melody
